With the build costs of our educational projects ranging in value from £50,000 to £5 million, we have worked in a variety of areas within education, from small private sector alteration projects, to multi-million-pound state funded new builds. We have collaborated with both private organisations and group academies working on projects including: Sports Academies and Facilities, Performing Arts Centres and Theatres, Post-16 Sixth Form Centres, Classroom Blocks, Bespoke I.T. Our Expertise
Given the unique challenges that education projects can pose, we offer support packages to aid the process from start to finish. Working with you from inception through to completion, we are able to advise on all aspects of the construction process. We offer bespoke design packages that can be tailored to suit your specific requirements, Client experience and desired level of involvement for each individual project.
Dependent upon the size and complexity of individual projects we are able to assemble a full design team of specialist consultant which would typically include Structural Engineers, Quantity Surveyors, Mechanical and Electrical Engineers and CDM Consultants. Other niche specialists such as Sound Engineers, Lighting Engineers, Fire Engineers and Drainage Engineers can also be incorporated into the team for more complex construction projects.
Primary
We have experience in managing projects for the Primary sector. These include welcoming new build Reception Centres, full interior refurbishment and fit outs, classroom extensions, kitchen installations and outdoor facilities such as car parking, sports areas, playgrounds, and disabled access routes.
Secondary
As a rapidly expanding area of education, our work in secondary schools helps meets ever increasing intake numbers by delivering projects on time and within tight time frames. Our secondary portfolio features work in areas such as new specialist multi-million-pound Post-16 centres, Classroom Expansion, Welfare Refurbishment, Outdoor Catering, Administration Block expansion, internal reconfiguration and refurbishment as well as purpose-built Sports Facilities.
Higher Education
We also have experience in working with further education organisations such as Colleges and Universities to produce specialist academic centres to further meet the ever-increasing demand of students studying within the UK. We have overseen the design and construction of dedicated Sixth Form Centres and a state of the art multi-million-pound sports academy, complete with dedicated indoor sports courts, biomechanics labs and physiotherapy treatment rooms.
Private Sector
SRA have experience in developing proposals for new specialist facilities whether they are state funded and private sectors. Working closely with our Clients throughout, we have been able to deliver large scale development schemes to transform both new and existing sites into welcoming and innovative educational establishments including Special Education Schools complete with boarding.
