This new extension provided a much-needed Reception at Spalding Parish C of E School. The Client contacted SRA and asked for our assistance in ensuring their scheme would meet the latest Fire Safety Standards. After reviewing the project our team were tasked with adapting the design to ensure it met the minimum standard defined by the Building Regulations, and meeting Fire Safety Standards.
The extension involved the creation of a new secure Lobby to protect students and staff, along with a new dedicated Reception area. A bespoke Reception desk was designed, complete with matching sliding hatch to provide a functional and usable entrance space. The large curtain wall façade was incorporated to maximise light and provide a striking feature to the school. SRA oversaw the production of Building Regulations Documents, Tender Documents and On-Site management of the project.
We have been working with Niell and his team at SRA in redesigning an existing planning passed house design. We have found them to be highly efficient, offering good choice of recommendations and proposals and very easy and pleasant to work with. The brief had to take place within a short period of time and the team were very accommodating with this, especially in difficult Covid times. I would highly recommend using SRA for future plans.
