SRA were tasked with altering a set of drawings to ensure compliance with Building Regulations to enclose this under-cover external area and form a new secure lobby at The Junxion, Student Accomodation, Lincoln. An accurate measured survey was undertaken before an appropriate scheme was produced that would ensure satisfactory compliance, and deal with issues of existing extract ventilation within the external lobby. As part of the proposals, we arranged for the necessary investigative works to determine existing ground suitability and liaised with structural engineers on the design of a new raft foundation. Upon successful approval from the Local Authority Building Control, the drawings were further advanced to ensure that the Client could obtain accurate and competitive prices. The completed project provides a light, spacious and safe interior lobby for use by the resident students.
